First Photo Walk

So there have been a few people that have expressed interest in doing photography walks. I would like to propose the first location, the old Don Jail. They allow group tours, take reservations and are only doing it for the next 6 months.

So who would like to join me and when?

You know... Doors Open Toronto starts tomorrow and includes the Don Jail, which is open for walk ins from 10-4:30 Saturday and Sunday.

I know about Doors Open Toronto but I figured booking a tour would allow us to shoot the Jail without anyone in our way. I'm looking at the other locations to see if there is anything I'm interested in doing this weekend.

Cool. Just about anything on that list would be fun to shoot for me, so keep me posted if you want to do something on Saturday.

Well most of the interesting locations don't allow photography inside. The two that I think would be interesting visually are the Canon Theatre and the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre.

Anything else on that list catch your interest that allows photography?

Well the Toronto West Masonic Temple sounds pretty neat, as does some of the Distillery District stuff, but seriously man, I'm good for whatever. The Winter Garden is pretty cool inside and I wouldn't mind getting a few shots in there. I don't know the Canon theatre, but like i said, whatever is good.

I'm going to be at the Elgin for 9:45AM as the only chance to see the place is 10AM. If you aren't there when they let people in at 10, you're not getting in. From there I'm going to head over to Mill Street and see the Distillery District. Then grab some lunch, probably at the Mill Street Brewery restaurant, and then maybe over to the Toronto West Masonic Temple.

How's that plan strike you?

Sounds good but since I work Friday night, I'll have to miss the Elgin and catch up with you at the Distillery District.
