Rating: Gen
Word Count: 250
Featuring: Loki, Thor, and a kitten.
Genre: uh... drabble?

Notes: I found this little piece while digging through old files on my computer, it's from (so far) failed draft for a possible sequel. I thought it stands well on its own, so here is what comes after. Mini-Sequel to
How to use yourself.
Last Edit: 28 May 2012
Thor catches his brother with a small kitten in his lap, and watches in shock as Loki's long fingers run through its fur, tickling and scratching. The tiny little animal is enjoying the attention immensely, rolling in his lap, paws curled, its entire body rumbling with a soft purr.
The moment Loki catches sight of Thor his movements stop abruptly, and in a long, drawn out moment, he stares wide-eyed at the God of Thunder.
"What are you doing here, brother?"
"I..." Unexpectedly, Thor finds himself at a loss of words. "Didn't know you liked kittens."
Loki seems taken by suprise, green eyes flickering down to the small creature on his lap, now hiding under the fabric of his coat.
"I... guess I do."
Loki's discomfort is almost a palapable force, and it does not escape Thor's notice. When the Thunder God leaves, Loki's hand slowly begins to move again, this time slowly, almost thoughtfully. Green eyes study the creature in his lap, which slowly crawls from under the gold fabric, staring at the retreating figure of the Aesir.
By the time Thor is on the next hill, the kitten in Loki's lap has changed, and the hand originally nestled in soft black fur now rests on a strong but thin shoulder. Slowly, it moves upwards, and long fingers runs itself through strands of soft black hair.
Loki lies sprawled on top of the lap of the other, and watches almost thoughtfully as Thor's profile slowly fades into the distance.
