I am at my goal weight of 145. Today I am wearing a turquoise linen dress that I have been unable to comfortably wear in some large number of years, but I held onto it because I loved it. Yeah me!
I have decided to spend the summer ensuring that my set point is firmly at this weight and that I can maintain this weight with comfort. I also plan to pay attention to when I react to food. For instance, we had corn on the cob two nights ago. Yesterday I felt really bloated. I try to avoid foods with corn starch and corn sugers, so it's rare that I eat so much corn at a single setting. I think I might want to avoid corn more carefully. I'm not sure about wheat. I don't normally eat much bread and while I know gluten is in most prepared food, I don't eat that much prepared food (other than eating out and that is about to change). I may not try to elimate that right now. One thing at a time.
I do want to start to strengthen my body this summer. I'm going to start doing sit-ups and lift weights in the morning when I get up. I certainly have time and I'd rather do that than play "Candy Crush".
