Dreamwidth/LJ = OTP

How much trouble will I be in when I say that I'm finding Dreamwidth to be an excellent compliment to my LJ? I can write up the entry here, effortlessly crosspost it to my LJ (it preserves the LJ lock default automatically without making me muck about with it) and use my reading list here (on DW) to scope things out without dealing with filters - something I normally wouldn't bother with on LJ.

I think closing comments on the LJ side would unnecessarily complicate things, but that's just me. Why cut off half your communications when you can have the best of both worlds? I have no idea why anyone would choose one platform exclusively over the other when it's so very easy to enjoy the different benefits of both - comments come by email and nav bar notification, with links attached. I've yet to encounter any problem with answering my comments in both places.

Dreamwidth gives me a varied reading experience without the hassle. LJ gives me awesome interaction and a huge reader base and I can link the two seamlessly.

I have to say, I'm not seeing the bad here. Dreamwidth/LJ are my OTP. They are meant to be used together!
