But it also makes me kind of happy when writers don't chicken out of difficult situations like that...I think it happens way too often, especially in American tv. It's like everything absolutely must have a nice, happy ending for people to be able to enjoy it. Or maybe it's just less things to worry about if you write it that way?
I was spoiled for Ianto's death a long time ago, and I just couldn't bring myself to care all that much. I miis Owen more:p

Yep, Jack has to be pretty damaged after the kind of life he has lived. And of course everyone he loves wind up dead sooner or later, because that's just how it is for most of us. I wish more fiction would deal with that aspect of immortality, because I imagine it will lead to so serious mental crisis...
Yay thank you :D Now I just have to practice and actually learn what I'm supposed to do, and not just rely on lucky coincidenses to get things right xD But yeah, it feels nice to have done it right once, even if it wasn't because of my awesome skillz :p
