(no subject)
I bring you news from the week that passed:
1) I NOW HAVE ALL THE THREE TICKETS FOR THE WACKEN FESTIVAL THAT I NEED:D :D That means the summer is secured at last! WHEEE *dances* Now on to the next step: figuring out how exactly we are going to get to Germany xD
2) It's official: Guillermo del Toro will take on The Hobbit. I wasn't really thrilled about the news at first, because one: he is not Jackson, and two: his movies are great, but they are very different from LOTR and what I imagine The Hobbit should look like. But then I discovered that Jackson will be the executive producer, and they will work with a lot of the same people that were involved with the LOTR movies (most likely including Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Andy Serkis as Gollum. woot!). Then I found this interview, and started cursing the fact that 2011 is so far away. I want this movie to happen now! *sigh* I have really missed Middle Earth.
3)The Swedish author Jon Ajvide Lindquist (think Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft), is my new hero. I have been a fan of his books for a while, and last night I watched an interwive with him on tv. He is apparently seven different kinds of crazy, but in a really cool way xD Among other things he talked about his fear of Volvo 240 cars and how his childhood had nothing in common with the character in Let The Right One In, except for the part where they were almost the same... And the he did some magic:D hee
4) When you buy a book because you like the author and the title, without reading on the back to see what it's about, you sometimes end up with porn. And not the good kind. Rather the endless SM orgy kind *headdesk* I got about 70 pages in before I just gave up and put it away. UGH.
