I've been concentrating a lot on music lately and practically spent most of my time listening to it very focused and concentrated. So much that it almost left me no room for my other minor hobbies (apart from the big internet one's like Photography & Video Editing). So now that I'm working through the music DVDs I got from
gfnamv 's father I get to relax a little (since it's mostly very minimalistic folk/acoustic/downtempo stuff, all of which doesn't really require wearing headphones all the time. Well maybe apart from Bohren & Der Club Of Gore...)
With the free time I have for now I rediscovered reading. I guess I'll be doing more of that again from now on. So just in case anyone would be interested in the subject and would like to share opinions or track down each other's progress I can only really recommend this site:
LibraryThing. It's like last.fm for books, it's free up to a certain limit (not sure right now but more than 200 books). The community is just like everywhere else, you can tag your books which leads to a pretty custom and interesting tag cloud in the end. You get stats from your personal library and recommendations. You also can write reviews or just plain quick comments. You can add manga, fiction and non-fiction of any possible genre. Also the system automatically connects all different editions in all different languages from one and the same book, it does not automatically translate the title though. By using tags however even looking at foreign libraries you can get an easy impression of what kinda categories the person enjoys most. You can track me down via
my account. Also for germans in general, you might wanna use the
german portal.
In other news I don't think I'll be editing much these days, especially after receiving multiple opinions of how people on the org just can't seem to deal with the kinda music I use. Which is ironic considering the bullshit tunes I've been putting up with for about 6 years now. I usually really don't get angry or trolled easy but there's just some things that shouldn't be said by certain people. I mean y'know, I can accept people with actual knowledge hating on my musical preferances, but a bunch of stuck-up nerds always trying to get me to edit to what they like is pretty pathetic and really always puts me in a position where I have to ask myself why I'm still making AMVs.
As for the real life, I went to the centre of education today to apply for a course to be trained for social assistent. It also offers a possibility for me to get a higher school qualification, which would mean that I could even go to university after 2 years. However usually they have more appliers than places and this would start around july next year, which is a lot of time where I still have no idea where this might leave me. I've been thinking about applying for a job as a cook's mate but it's a really small business and I feel like this'll just end up being yet another one of those low-pay jobs with lots of stress every day. And I just don't want to do any more of those factory-like jobs, I've been there and I could go back there but as long as I can I'd like to avoid doing that. Simply because the climate is always pretty shitty when you're under physical stress the whole damn day. In b4 comments by people that are way more hardcore than me about working, cool story brah.
