On Feb. 12, 1997 Mrs. Li XouYing, a Nanjing Massacre survivor, who is now 79 years old, tearfully recalled in the Tokyo court about the atrocities she had suffered 60 years ago : She was 19 years old with 7 months pregnancy. To avoid being raped, she forcefully smashed her head against a brick wall determined to commit suicide. She didn't die, only fainted. After she woke up, she found herself lying on a cot. Then a Japanese soldier came to rape her. She again fought fiercely. Other soldiers came and used their bayonets and stabbed her again, and again and again for a total of 37 times during her fight. She lost her 7 months old fetus. But miraculously survived the 37 stabs and brutal sexual assault.
