Hey~!

Stumbled from Omona, and saw that you're a SGean (me too!), went to KMW (me too!), and from the pictures, seems like you work in a lab (me too!). What are the chances, right?! :)

Sorry, didn't mean to be excited like that ^^; anyways, nice to meet you!

haha your comment that 'SG and free speech shldn't be in the same sentence' in the KBS/JYJ post did :) Then I came to check out your post, and realized you were working a lab too, and I HAD TO comment since I was too XD
I'm working at NUH/NUS (actually, in the building BEHIND them) so our workplaces are actually pretty nearby! :D are you in the research field as well? ^^

It IS! ^^ For some reason, I wasn't expecting to see singaporeans comment on Omona to begin with, so to see a comment on our own system, I felt a liiiiitle 'overwhelmed' (in a good way) :)

ahhh! But usually I'm too lazy to walk down the slope to go lunch (cuz if I go down, means must walk up the slope in this weather, very much DNW) so I pack lunch from home XD I'm working at Brenner Centre, beside CeLS, if you know where's that!

OHHHHHH! Yes! We usually get primers and buffers from there! :)

I only have ONE irl friend who goes on Omona, and I don't think she reads all the comments! Haha, it's okay, since I complain so much on LJ, the lesser people know, the better :D

haha it's so tiring to climb that mountain everyday, but I don't get why I'm not getting toner after what, almost 2yrs >_<

Nice to meet you, chingu (though I might be older than you)! ^^ I see that you've gotten a korean book; can you understand it completely? :)

haha oh yeahhhh born in '80s FTW, I wish I could high-five you right now! I'm 23, if you want to know; though most of the time I have a 30s mentality :)

I see! So you're taking korean lessons for it?! haha I tried self-studying a few years back, though I can understand the gist of the sentences, I'm usually not 100% sure unless I have matching subtitles/words (which means I can't really understand spoken korean without seeing the words >_<).

Have you been to korea? ^^

yah ikr everyone is in their 90s and it's just depressing!!!!

yep i am taking the ones offered at NUS extension, just completed basic 4! i just find it hard to listen to actual korean speaking cause it's so hard to catch! they are so quick =/

yes yes, been there twice, both in winter XD 2009 and 2010 ^^;
You?

But recently my colleagues are all 'the 80s is the best era. Kids in the 90s are a little strange~' so I'm feeling a lot better hahahaha.

They have that many basic levels?! :| So you're going into Intermediate already? :D Yes so am basically handicapped without the subs! Haha I REALLY should take lessons, but the idea of attending lessons puts me off so bad >_<

Haha I've been there only once, autumn 2010 for a week only (around Taeyang's concert period, not that we managed to watch the show) :( But but but! My friend and I saw Jaejoong at Apgujeong while we were lost/walking around aimlessly! :DDD

Ikr!!! I mean they are a new breed of kids who are idk too protected and think they are untouchable!!!

They have 6 basic classes... And another 6 intermediate T_T
And it's getting more expensive!!! *sigh
I guess I'm lucky Cause I really love my classmates and they make class fun!
But yah I went to learn alone it was really daunting at first.. :))

Gahhhhhhh T_T I wanted to go for that Taeyang concert! I watch the DVD and I died.
But seeing jaejoong!!! Omg!!! That gorgeous pretty boy! He is not human! Too surreal T_T I'm envious now! I'm always saying the day I see all of them is the day I can die happy. (I'm a fangirl, through n through)

*sigh

Ik! The way they behave these days *ugh disgusted*! Haha sorry kids, we unnies and oppas remain too fabulous for them to catch up ;)

Ahhh so many classes! But you'll probably get relatively competent arnd Intermediate 3-4 or so right..? Jiayou! >_< Oh yes, for some reason, learning the korean language costs more than learning japanese :|
That's really nice ^^ I'm still too chicken to go alone, but none of my friends want to learn it! >_Did you try to get the tickets?! We booked our flight waaaay in advance so it was a pleasant surprise he held the concert during then. The venue (Kyunghee Uni or smth) was very.. him XD He's your ultimate kpop bias eh ( ... )

^________________________^ i am so glad you are with me on that!

i went alone! i wanted to go with my friends? but our timing just didnt match and i was like "oh well! i should just go ahead else i will never start" gogogo! hehehe most of my classmates went alone and only made friends there =) hehe

no i didnt try cause i know i couldnt get away from school and work that time =( Bae is my bigbang bias! hehe but well my ultimate kpop bias has got to be mr park yoochun. that man. i swear *sigh hehehehe~

you? have you been into kpop for long?

i think if i saw jae or any of the rest of TVXQ, my legs would have failed me. by some sort of an accident i saw changmin last year and i literally collapsed after. it was just overwhelming *facepalms

you are making me miss korea so much now T____T

^^

I see! My friends used to be 'ewww korean', but it's gotten a lot better recently~ And my only irl friend who likes kpop happens to be more interested in japanese >_< haha so lonely!

:( Next time, I keep telling myself! The next Big Show! haha.. It was a tough decision btw TOP and Jae, and though I loveloveLURVE jae with his home-making skills and talent with everything else, I was more attracted to TOP in the HOMG I WANT TO MARRY HIM way hahahaha *fangirls ^^

I REALLY got into kpop probably about 2006/7~ Before that, I only knew of BoA, kdramas Full House and My Girl wrt korea ^^; I was into jpop 2005/6, but then my jpop bias Akanishi Jin (KAT-TUN member, not sure if you know him) left the scene for awhile, then I came to kpop and never went back~ haha.. you? :D

Hahaha you did?! Did he see you or anything?! ^^ I get you, maaan the first time I saw Big Bang in person, I hyperventilated a little, luckily it was all dark and too noisy for anybody to notice ^^;

I miss korea too T_T you intend to go back anytime soon?
