Gilmore Girls 100th Episode... Plus Blizzard News!
First of all, I just saw the Gilmore Girls' 100th episode last night (stupid Global, I have to wait for Wednesday nights to see the best show ever.) Oh my goodness it was so good and so bad at the same time!
Richard and Emily
So glad they're back together again. They were so cute, so completely in love after 40 years of marriage! Awww... Except Emily spoils it by being really mean to Lorelai, even though she doesn't really mean to be.
Luke & Lorelai & Christopher
Argh!!!! L&L are supposed to be together! It made me so mad when Chris was all "It's gonna be you and me, Lor." (paraphrasing). (Stupid Emily). And oh my goodness, it was SO ... cute (?!) ... when Luke was all over Chris about how he was never there for Rory. Luke is SO Rory's real dad. Awww - if L&L break up (which would be for the sole purpose of keeping the show "interesting") I'm gonna be so mad! And I've seen some pics of Lorelai crying like they DO break up. No! I loved how she completely ignored Christopher, though. I just want Luke & Lorelai to get married ... I can't wait 'til the end of the series!
Rory & Logan
Since there's no more Jess (I'm ultimately a Rory/Jess 'shipper at heart) I'm rooting for Logan. It was sweet when he was saying how he's not boyfriend material and how Rory's special. And I was bouncing off the walls when "Moon River" started playing in the background! (Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my fave movies.) I was really disappointed to where that led, though. (I'd read spoilers so it wasn't a surprise). I SO wanted them to have a nice romantic kiss while Moon River was playing. They needed to kiss at the end of that song but they didn't! And then they had to go and start fooling around and that does NOT look good. I know I'm old-fashioned but I'd enjoy it so much more if they didn't sleep together and constantly make out. It's more romantic when they are more... conservative. Ah, well, I'm happy they're together, at the very least.
I am so excited for this weekend. Tomorrow night I'm on my way with my youth group to Blizzard! Let me explain: Blizzard is this huge youth retreat in Central/Northern Ontario where all the youth groups get together for a weekend of .... amazing, lol. Each year there's this awesome band (called The Penny Merchants) who play and they're definitely the highlight of the weekend.
So all the youth groups are put into one of four teams. Ever since I've gone, our team has always been Moose. And I just found out that we're in that team again! I know it seems silly but I'm so glad! I've already got a Moose toque and I've got a shirt with a moose on it. Anyway, I just can't wait for this weekend!!!! (I really haven't explained it very well, but I'm too lazy to try - you'll just have to settle for my "I can't wait" and "I'm so excited!" comments.)
Have I mentioned that I'm so excited and I can't wait for this weekend?
