I am having a very hard time figuring out this freaking bodice.  So, at first I tried to have it fully shirred, but the elastic thread was like "NO BIATCH!" so I bought a zipper and decided to make it fitted.  Well, that's not working out at all.  Then I decided that I ought to look at my dresses with fitted bodices and see how they are constructed.

After trying on my prom dress (which to my horror fits me again, however loosely T_T), I realized that it holds it's shape because it has a lining, the fabric is heavier and because it is boned.  So instead of abandoning the fabric I have and getting plastic boning, I'm just going to attempt to line it and shirr just the back so I can still get in and out of it without a zipper (I hate side zips).

Otherwise, the skirt's done and just needs to be gathered and attached.  I still need to make two little bows and two big bows to match and the lining for the bodice

Lets hope I finish this before I leave the country today >_>.
