Ok, it's 7:30 on Thursday evening... the lab closes at 8. I usually am able to close early because a whole whopping two people usually come in after 7 and leave soon there-after... this girl won't leave. I made the announcement that we're closing in a half hour (about ten minutes ago,) and she just looks up at me like, "yeah, your point?"
My point is that my weekend starts in less than a half hour... I want to go home! I've been on campus bored out of my gourd (stupid Journalism class) since 1:00. I know, a lot more people on campus are here a lot longer than I am in a day, but it's still annoying. Today was one of the most beautiful (although slightly warm) days I've seen in a long time... and I spent it cooped up in an air conditioned computer lab all day (one for class, and one for work.)
What's worse is I know this girl, and I think she's recognized me... she used to work on Saturdays with me in the library, although I hardly overlapped shifts with her, and she is also one of the people who heads the poetry slam, which I went to a lot freshman year, and "slammed" a poem or two for them.
I'd understand if she's printing off a lot of stuff because, let's face it... even if you have a printer at home, you don't want to be printing off shit-loads of stuff for class or otherwise at home when you can do it (at an unlimited amount) "for free." But she's not printing anything! I know people who are probably among the worst off students on campus money-wise, that have laptops! I have a desktop computer at home... who the hell goes to college for at least four years and doesn't have a computer of their own? Nine times out of ten, people who are just chilling out at the end of the lab hours are surfing on myspace or facebook... with the occasional porn website. Yes, I said porn.
And while I wait for her to leave, another person just came in... peachy.
