Seth and I went this past weekend to get him and Sean's puppies. They are the most adorable things and I'm completely in love with Conor (the one we kept). I've been trying to think of a way to say that a puppy is like a baby, without making Seth want to run away. But I've been failing miserably so I'm just going to say it. We're sleep-deprived from getting up with him (Seth more than me), he gets our full attention, and we're both having to be more responsible than ever--and it's weirdly wonderful.
I've never liked the words "mom" and "dad" more than now.
On an unrelated note....I'm in a mood tonight. I'm feeling horribly old both in physicalilty and role. If ever there was a night when I felt displaced this is it. Trying to put words to an indescribable feeling. Attempting to forge feeling where there is none.
