Went to Chicago
On Sunday I flew to Chicago for work with a contingent of cohorts from the office and one boss. We went there for a convention. In addition to meeting great people and learning new stuff, I had two great experiences:
1. Beating out another hundred convention-goers to win a shiny new Nintendo Wii - at last, it shall be mine!
2. There are, in fact, restaurants that will serve surf and turf for the low, low price of $135.00 without blinking and it did not bother me at all to eat it since the tab was being picked up by a multi billion dollar insurance company. Three cheers for corporate reps with expense accounts trying to buy my loyalty with expensive food! Addmittedly, though, that was some of the best tasting stuff I ever ran across.
Oh, and did I mention the Wii? :)
