Was good fun. We worked our asses off: I got to see almost every aspect of my first show in a long time. I was able to attend the media events that I wanted to, and snuck into this and that. Came with the staff badge [huzzah!] which pretty much meant that I could oversee just about anything. Archives, shows. .. all good. Our numbers were up; the convention center was HUGE: when I say hige I mean ... twice the size of Indy? Lots of room. Room to hang a Death Star in the front foyer. For the most part, I worked lots and hung out with friends. I took the time to spend some with lots of different people that I don't get the chance to at shows where I am also running a LARP: I just don't have the time to. That made it nice. Also had some new blood there, some good company which made it interesting. Great food, a starbucks on each corner and good company. But the city sucks.
So........that's my post con report for all of you. I STILL hate LA! I don't think that I'll ever like it out there. I am simply not a West Coast kinda person.
Life is status quo at home: lots of work, lots of migraines, and lots of storms in the area. Lots of changes: it's a season for change. Change is good.
Unsure about Origins this year.
Some potential uncertainties regarding GenCon this year, too. Game will go on: as they say, the show must, eh?
