Background:
Sam Flynn @ Tron WikiPersonality: He's a pretty laid back kind of guy who doesn't really hide his emotions well. Prior to the events of the Grid, Sam most of his time just keeping an eye on ENCOM without getting involved with the company. Well save for the annual prank/stunt hat he pulls. But Sam didn't set much of a standard or himself. His father issues that he had left him feeling that he wouldn't be able to run a fortune 500 company that once belonged to his father. Outside the occasional visit from his parents' friend, Alan Bradley, he typically kept to himself.
The chance to finally see his father again came when Alan got a page from Flynn's Arcade that led to Sam finally visiting the Grid. When he confronted Kevin about his reasons for leaving, Sam was able to make peace with himself knowing that his father hadn't left on purpose. He got the chance to know his dad in their brief time together. And while he developed the habit of messing wit his dad's zen his intentions were good and came from the heart. Sam had his father to protect and Quorra too. He had sense of purpose on the Grid, something he hadn't had in a long time.
Between this and Kevin's sacrifice so that he and Quorra could escape, Sam finally found a purpose. Taking back his father's company and helping to realize his ideals about changing the world was the path he had before him. Granted he's still the same easy-going, slightly jerky guy as he always was. That's something that'll never change. But he's a jerky easy going guy with a goal in life and a pretty damn good story to tell.
Powers, Skills, and Abilities: Sam has no powers of any kind. He is an excellent programmer/hacker however and is the head of the corporation known as ENCOM, which was once run by his father. He also has a fondness for dangerous stunts such as parachuting off of ENCOM Tower and landing on top of a passing taxi cab.

First Person:
[ When the video feed starts up, there's Sam looking down at the screen. The hood of his jacket was pulled up over his head, his breath just a barely detectable mist in the cold air. But despite the circumstances he seemed to be in a pretty decent mood. ]
So apparently this Aliunde place is supposed to be my new home or something. Doesn't look too bad at first glance but it'd be nice to have a welcome brochure. You know, something with more answers than a guy in a white coat telling me where I am and then walking away before answering my questions.
[ Pulling his jacket closer to him he looked away off camera to the buildings on the street. ]
Could use a cup of coffee too. I'm definitely not dressed for the weather right now.
Third Person:
The first thing Sam did the moment the doctor was out of the room was toss the blanket away and climb out of bed. The look on his face was a mix, mainly confusion with just a hint of bemusement. While it isn't everyday a person finds themselves in a completely new world it wasn't exactly the first time t had happened to him.
Patting himself down he found his wallet, which he flipped open and proceeded to check the contents of. When he noticed the unfamiliar card inside of it he plucked it out, looking it over. He went as far as to holding it up to the light as if to see if there was something hidden for him to discover. But no, it looked like a normal credit card.
"Huh. Gotta admit that's pretty neighborly of them," he said, a half smile on his face.
Once the card was back in his wallet and the wallet in his back pocket he took a moment to assess the environment around him. The room was a standard looking one for a hospital. Nothing distinguishing about it. At the window he pulled up the blinds and looked out it. The cold air from the outside made it so that when he breathed, with his face so close, it fogged up the glass for a moment. Outside was a city he didn't recognize although that much he already figured. He looked to the sky and then to the streets below, watching as the people came and went. There wasn't any familiar face but, again, he hadn't expected to.
"Well, I'm not going to get any answers just standing around here," Sam muttered to himself. After wiping the fog away from the glass with the sleeve of his jacket he turned away and headed for the door.
