Oh, wow. I knew things were tight, but not this tight.
Christmas is okay, gifts are bought, bills are paid. But my dad is in the hospital again with a gangrenous toe, my folks are down to five bucks red in the bank. I'm making most of my gifts, and my mom just pointed out a stash of wood that's potentially usable for woodworking.
I have about ninety bucks in the bank, and two hundred in food stamps. We're not wanting for food supplies or any necessities. I just told my mom that if she needs gas money, et cetera, before the first of the month, do come to me. I'll hold off on little luxuries for now.
But if anyone in the north Chicago suburbs has any small bits of woodstain or paint spare sitting around, perhaps polymer clay (Sculpey), please give me a buzz. That can help stretch things and make my handmade gifts a little nicer.
