If people are out there who want to help the community this holiday season but don't have the time to volunteer: Go through your medicine closet and bookshelves. Find your local homeless shelter. Call them to see if they would like a donation of sample-sized hygiene items, and books/magazines for their library. (Note: If you are donating magazines from your subscriptions, do take the time to cut out your address information from the covers. Love your momma, help the poor, but always remember to cut the cards yourself.)

PADS in Lake County kept breath in my body through last winter. We've tried to give back to show our thanks. I can guarantee that those two offers will be especially appreciated.

EDIT: I'm told that feminine hygiene products are SORELY needed. I hadn't considered that. Yes, definitely add that to the top of the list after checking with the shelters on what they'll accept.
