Chapter 4 Done
I have started a new blog on the Website I’m starting up (http://blog.infinityltd.net). I haven’t yet decided what I’m going to do with my LiveJournal blog (especially considering I just re-upped my membership recently). I think what I will do is post in both places until I decide whether to keep this going or not (I may keep it just so I can keep up with my friends on here but only post to my domain, I don’t know).

I finished studying chapter 4 in my Security+ book this morning (Monitoring Activity and Intrusion Detection). I am going to have to go back and study that chapter again because I only got 14 of the 20 review questions correct. I think part of it is the fact that there was a lot of material thrown at me (and a list of acronyms that would take up probably five lines of text here), but I think another part is the fact that I read about half of the chapter yesterday while fighting a blinding headache. I guess studying while waiting for head to explode = bad.
Tomorrow, chapter 5, a relatively short chapter on implementing a secure network.

It happened again today. We were sitting in the living room watching the Steelers game when a group of three people came up to the front door and looked in through the windows on the side. Now, granted, the house is on the market, but still-we are still entitled to some privacy, aren’t we? Most likely, they were interested in looking at the house towards possibly buying it, but for all we know, they could have just been really nosy or, even worse, casing the joint. That’s maybe a little paranoid, but how are we to know?

I commented on this on Facebook, but I will put it here, too. I saw the final episode of season four of “Dexter” about a week and a half ago, and I find that I am still moved by it (Showtime rebroadcast it tonight and I watched the last half). I find this particularly amazing considering, thanks to “The Soup” not warning about what they were about to show, I have known what happened at the end for at least six months now. I can’t wait for season five to start next Sunday. I’ve set up TiVo to record it.
