With the all-boys' club that Mikhailachev Manor tends to be, it's easy to forget that I do have a few gals mixed in there too.
Of course, it's also easy to forget I have lesbian couples in the 'hood as well. This is Maria Mikhailacheva and her partner Mika. For those of you new to my flist, Maria is the daughter of the third of The Three Brothers, who just happens to be the zombie Pavel. She was the only Mikhailachev of her generation to have changed into a vampire, in spite of her brothers Vladimir and Boris II being gay and bisexual respectively (her cousins Alexander, Adrian, Mikhail, and Konstantin were all heterosexual, and Konstantin died as a teenager as it was). Her son, Pavel II would be the last Mikhailachev to turn into a vampire for a long period of time, right up until the time of Rasputin's son Dimitri.
Maria is normally an easy-going, playful femme, but when anyone picks on her father for his tragic condition, she will guard him like a mother tiger with her cub. This stems from the years of physical and emotional abuse that Pavel was forced to suffer at the hands of Maria's late mother Eileen, and it was Maria who rescued her father from the situation by having him come see the newborn twins that she'd had with her wife and then keeping him at her house until the day of her mother's death from old age. Maria still grows hot at her mother's name.
Mika, who also comes from Russian descent, is a butch who has been Maria's constant support crutch through thick and thin. Like other Mikhailachev vampire spouses before her, Mika gave up her humanity when Maria changed spontaneously into a vampire and agreed to become a vampire herself.
