Early last night:

I’ve been a glutton. I looked at the Chinese delivery and wanted everything. Cold pork in garlic sauce, Wonton soup, Tofu and broccoli, my tongue wanted them all. In the end, I knew I couldn’t say, ‘Hey bring me the menu.’ I could just hear the teenage Chinese girl, “The menu. What you want?”
“Everything,” I would answer.
“No,” she would respond then I would hear her yelling in Chinese into the kitchen where her father was cooking. Her fathers voice would echo back harshly.
She would turn the phone back to her ear. “Hot and sour soup and pot stickers.”
She knew it was me once in every two weeks time period I would call. “Yes. I would like to place an order to be delivered.” How crafty this girl knew my palate and me.

So, I ordered, yes pot stickers, hot and sour soup, and in addition, the glutton part, almond chicken, bbq hombow, and pork fried rice.

The skinny driver showed up with a grocery bag. I was in big trouble. I told him to, have a good night as I closed the door, the bag in hand. I emptied the bag placing everything out on my table like Thanksgiving.

I sat down and ate sipping on several Samuel Adams for over an hour. I must go my stomach needs to lie down.
