2 Days Left //--\\ The Strikes Over

Feb 26, 2007 21:23

Sana is leaving for Vancouver in 2 days. I am really nervous and I'm not even the one going. I hope that everything goes good for her out there. It sounds lately that things are going to work out good. She has a month to check things out around town and get to know the city that she will call home for at least the next 2 years. I think she will enjoy it alot and I hope that she gets out to see things. There is so much to explore. Especially in a city that you've never ever been to.

The strike is over now. We are going back to work for at least a month. It depends on wether or not the Tentative Agreement for one year gets ratified by all the union members. I was at the meeting today, and was not greeted with much... friendliness. For the duration of the strike, I wasn't answering my phone and I refused to go work on the picket lines. Apparently that was a horrible horrible crime and now a whole bunch of people hate me. They can investigate me as much as they want to figure out what I was doing, and all they will find is that I was sitting at home, hanging out with my friends, taking a trip to the states and drinking beer. I was expecting to get some flak from people, but not in the amount that I experienced. There were people telling me that I shouldn't even be at the meeting. I stuck around the stuck to my guns because I know i didn't do anything wrong, despite making some poor decisions. I wouldn't have done it if I thought that it was going to be taken so poorly.
