Strike? I don't wanna.
So yeah... not as if time off is a good thing right now, seeing as its forced time off. This whole strike thing is retarded. The union is being completely unreasonable and asking for things that they wouldn't even see in their wildest dreams. As if we don't already have enough perks. You wouldn't believe the number of freebies that CN has agreed to in the past. I just hate the mentality at work... that the union is savior of all and that the company is hell-spawn and run by satan himself (this is not an understatement, just ask just about any railway employee about what they think about Hunter Harrison). And thats not a minority of people who feel that way... its easily 75% of the people that I work with that hate CN and hate their jobs. It's really hard to work with these people.
The strike has been in effect since 00:01 Saturday 10th of February... sooo approximately a half hour ago as i type this. I just hope this doesn't go on too long.... I had no time to plan for it or save any money to get though a long strike. If it goes on for more than a week or two at the very most its going to hurt like crazy. We'll have to see what happens.
