Believe in monogamy? What? =/
I believe it exists.
I believe polygamy exists also - I'm not that surrealistic - both those are fairly obvious answers since they're well-documented.
-IF- this question was trying to ask "Do you think monogamy is right?" then I'd say---
Hmm...
In a few contexts, mainly popular ones around the world, scattered in different reasoning = yes, it's right.
In a different/seemingly separate contexts, thus far less popular in the world (but growing), scattered in different reasoning = no, it's not right.
If you think monogamy should always exist then you are totally right; in your world; not THE world - that's all of ours... at least it's suppose to be =/
---it depends on the contexts, 'mirco- & macro-', and how it might be useful within them (or not).
When I used the word 'popular' it tells you what I think monogamy is: a fashion - the needed infectious need, that needs to be killed constantly, ONLY after it's understood... or else it becomes unfashionable... no?
It's good in one city; in one time period; for dying and multiplying reasons - But it just makes you an outcast in some villages; elsewhere; possibly the same or different time; for multiplying and dying reasons.
Do you want some 2nd rate evolutionism now? Well, it could go a little like this:
As long as you're faster/stronger/smarter...just 'better' than the pack that thinks you're "WRONG", you'll live forever being "right"... that is until you burn out and they catch you... meaning you weren't faster/stronger/smarter...you were 'worse', "RIGHT"? O_O
Only one certainty = Ends in a dogfight, then a bloody mess - no winner to be seen.
I suggest you find your context, so you can decide... 'Do I fuck comfortably within it? Or do I fuck the context?'
