Let me start this blog off by saying, for all of you that don’t know, a car ran over my foot Thursday afternoon before these shows.
….
So yes, crossing the street completely legally, looked both way and everything, and I’m pretty much lucky I saw the car start to move (right hand turn onto a one way street so he didn’t look the other way) so that I could jump out of the way and only my left foot was left in his path. He stopped right on my foot. I yelled “You’re on my foot!’ He reversed. I sat down on the sidewalk in shock and lots of people rushed over and called 911 and all those things. I was in shock. I texted Sara, because that’s what I do when anything happens to me, and called my mom who didn’t get back to me for hours because she thought I was just calling to tell her I was on the way home. AJ happened to be right there and came and a darling girl from Progressive stood with me and told me everything I needed to do. A car ran over my foot.
And amazingly, nothing was broken. I could wiggle my toes, it just hurt like a bitch in general. We went to t he emergency room and I got lots of drugs and instructions not to stand on it. Ha.
Then I flew to Vegas. They wheeled me around the airport and I even wheeled myself (boy is that hard) and I got special treatment on the plane and I took a lot of drugs so my foot felt normal. Then I saw my Sara and made her carry my bags and went to the Orleans, where along with Panic they were having a National Rodeo Championship. We got asked if we needed tickets to the Rodeo.
(And so. I’ve tried to recap this a million times, I don’t like it every time.. There’s something about this tour, especially the end of it, that I can’t put into words. Not the actual on-stage action, I just mean the feel of it, the experience of going off with Sara and holding her hand for those last times and knowing that she’s the only one who will ever really get it.)
Sara wrote up a beautiful analysis of the tour and
you should read that, really. Here are some pictures and links and few thoughts, the best I have for now.

And so. Some particular memories include:
- my sidekick blowing up to alert me of the afterparty, the kindness of people and the awesomeness of guestlists. How hot my girlfriend all the time, but also when dressed up. Jon Walker always wears flip flops.
- The male flight attendant who was so jealous we were going to Panic and who sang us Panic songs.
- Already having the right wristband for Vegas.
-Green wristbands! Barrier, as always.
- The really crazy dude who kept pushing me and hurting my foot until Sara defended me.
- The sheer energy everyone had at the end of this tour. How relaxed all the guys looked on stage. How joyous Gabe looked at the crowd reaction.
- Seeing old friends for the fisrt time in months.
- Zack and Bob and the amazing team of people that Panic has around them.
- Standing outside in San Diego as it started to rain, waiting Ryan walk down the entire line of fans, little girls running away screaming "he touched me! he touched me!"
- Suarez, in general, but his really awesome shoes in particular. ;)
I'd be unlike myself not to note that I adore Panic, both the music they perform and the way they present themselves (althougth they are not my favorite band, i still can't give them that spot.) Seeing this tour from the start to the end has been great, and I can't say anything more really that I haven't said before or that Sara hasn't put better. And I'm glad they get a break now and can write another album.
And now I am on vacation, I'll be doing a recap of the Monty show and the Killers show I just went to, but yeah. I need a bit of a break before the Fall Out Boy tour kicks up anyway.
In conclusion: Sara is tall. (Edit: Also, in conclusion: Sara's boobs.)
