I feel like I need to start this entry with the revelation: Ryan Ross wears spats. Spats. If you are unfamliar: Spats are a type of shoe accessory worn in the late 19th and early 20th century. They were stiff fabric covers attached to the top of the shoe and extending up the lower part of the leg. Spats, especially white ones on highly-polished black shoes, form part of the stereotype dress of a wealthy young man of the era, along with a top hat and a cane.
Thank you, Ryan Ross.
And in more personal news, I am turning 23 on Friday. This calls for celebration, as my bulletin details. I've also had a few people ask me what they can get me, so here you go:
1. A ticket to Seattle.
2. A 4 gig memory card for the camera. Most likely you're Mom if you're getting this.
3. A limited edition FBR shirt when they come out on Nov 28th. Any of them, I want all 5.
4. The FBR box set (which I might buy mysef, but you can just give me money!). Look, here's a coupon.
5. Gift certificates to Nico so I can buy that shirt I want that costs 100 or the marching-band style jacket that's 250.
6. A visit with a tiny dog. Brother is doing that because he's bringing home the newest member of the family, Louis Vuitton. Yes, he named the dog Louis Vuitton. Here, squeal.
7. LD already bought me the Panic DVD because he is darling.
8. New Vans. I want the pink polka dot ones.
9. New music from FOB, TAI, PATD, er. Anyone.
10. People to come with to the Monty Are I show on Dec 7th.
That's way too many FBR things. Generally I ask for kitchen stuff. Two years ago my brother bought me the best spatula, no joke. (Seriously, don't get me anything unless you're my mom. I am just kidding around.)
And now you win for reading me ramble (I wanted to write more about my 23rd year of life but I think I'll wait until Friday.) The rest of the footage from Atlanta, mostly full song clips. It's fun how many views these things get, I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys. For those of you asking, I use a Sony DSC-N1, 8.1 megapixel. It's lovely, small, and has a touchscreen and on-camera editing.
I'll refrain from commentary this time, but I am going to write some up later.
-- Bloc Party, Banquet. Their last night on the tour. -- My attempt at getting the big reveal, but skip 40 seconds in because it takes forever. Excuse the shaky camera, I was laughing. A lot. -- Time To Dance. -- Intro To Lying with the dream kiss/monstrous fucking speech -- End of Lying -- There's A Good Reason... -- Drumline, Ryan is so pleased with his skills -- I Write Sins, with Brendon getting on his knees, close up. AND MY FAVORITE FOOTAGE:
-- Buiid God. Not only because it's my favorite song, but Brendon's intesne face at the beginning kills me. If any don't work it's because they're still formatting. Next footage will be of Gym Class, AAR, but from further away, and then Hush Sound next week.
