Boredom-Inspired Buffy Post
As a distraction from things, I watched 7x2. Randomly this brought me to wondering how long certain storylines lasted. More specifically S6 Spuffy. More more specifically, how long they were doing their thing. It's probably been discussed before but I can't remember it.
Anyway, fudging certain numbers, like the length of some episodes, I think you can put it at around 4 months. It seems long, but considering the concrete dates given of eps, it seems to have gone on much longer than it looked.
All the Way ends on Oct. 31.
We don't specifically know how long it is between AtW and OMWF, but given that Tara finds the bramble under her pillow, it seems likely that OMWF starts the next morning. So figure Nov. 1.
OMWF spans about 2 days.
Again, speculating, but Tabula Rasa must take place the next following day given that it's unlikely Spike would let it go that long, Tara not bringing her betrayal up to Willow, Giles' revelation and it seems to be the gang's first discussion of where Buffy was. So I figure Nov. 5 for this ep.
Not much speculating for Smashed. Spike says in his rant that Buffy's been "ice queen" for 2 days. So figure Nov. 7 or so.
So it started the beginning of November, thereabouts. The 9-10th at the latest allowing for fudging.
For the end, As You Were, we have to work backwards since a very undetermined amount of time passes between OaFA and AYW, but it seems like a huge gap.
Seeing Red ends on May 7th. That's the date on Tara's tombstone. The episode spans a couple days, so it begins on the morning of the 5th. Since it takes place immediately following...
Entropy ends on the 4th. At the beginning, Buffy mentions NA was "last week". So figure 7 days, which puts...
Normal Again at around the 28th of April. In beginning of this episode, Willow says Anya left a couple days earlier. You sort of have to really guess here, but I think 4 or 5 days has passed since...
Hells Bells. Putting that ep around the 22nd or 23rd of April.
In As You Were, Xander says the wedding is in one week. Thus, AYW happens around the 15th or so of April.
So Spuffy S6 tomfoolery from ~Nov. 7 to ~Apr 15.
