My guesses for the comics post
I was going to do this a week ago, but I got distracted, then the issue came out, but now I'm bored again. Also, I wanted to do it before any more new info came out. It's less fun the more things you know.
Firstly, I don't think it'll get better for Spuffy fans. I look for more Buffy swooning over Angel and alienating Spike as a result of the Universe juice. I look for similar things to happen with her friends. The Master is behind all this and he wants revenge for Buffy taking his family. What better way than to make her ruin her relationship with her own?
The Master will raise the old temple. And in it, he and Buffy will fight.
Willow will join with the Master to protect the Seed. She cares way too much about magic to allow it to be destroyed.
When the Seed is destroyed, all magic is gone, including the spell on Buffy and her super!superpowers. The "heart" is broken. Get it? Buffy laying on the ground crying is the result of all of it coming back to her. Her "wake up" moment similar to the first arc and Always Darkest.... Always darkest before the dawn. The dawn of enlightenment. She'll get her heart/soul/whatever back, I think, but her family will be in tatters.
I don't think Spike being a man of science in this is a coincidence. I think it's going to be symbolic of the Buffy group going modern instead of magical--as hinted at in earlier arcs when they left magic behind.
Angel will be pressured to do something, I think, and I think that something is going to be to kill Dawn to stop the rain of demons.
