I can't say it was the hottest day of the year, but it was definitely the most uncomfortable. The actual temp was only around 87, but man, was it sticky, sticky, sticky. The humidity was in the mid-80% range until it rained, which was sweetness.

The heat was not helped by a bout with some bad food this morning. I don't know if it was the pineapple or the p/b sandwich, but something wasn't right with it. Vertigo and heat do not go hand in hand.

Also I wonder is

Of course, Dawn could very well die, but it would be weird to put it on the cover and then release it so far in advance. The Twilight cover at least shows that Joss is aware of how those books are being perceived and perhaps this is another self-spoof. If Dawn weren't shown and it was just Xander looking distraught, I'd think her death more likely. Also, the blurb doesn't mention anything like that.

There's also mention of The Seed, which could be any number of things and sadly, given the comics ridiculousness, the Twilight!BB scenario can't be ruled out. Less likely is Dawn or Dawn's kid being The Seed. I thought Dawn herself at first given the cover, but now I think it's probably the egg-looking thing in issue 10.

Someone close to Buffy and a villain from the past team up to protect it, yet in that flashforward thing, it's broken and Buffy's on the ground crying about it, a betrayal. Since this close one was trying to protect it, I guess that means Buffy is probably the one who breaks it, ending the Twilight madness, but also breaking some sort of spell on Buffy herself. It would explain her crying like she's shown 'cause the only thing I can imagine 'causing that would be something like a soul returning.

As for the villain from the past, I'm going to say it might be Ethan.
