I wonder, sometimes, about the law.
I loved learning it. I loved the mindbendingness of it, the way it was shaped by words and shaped them in turn. I loved figuring it out. I loved the way it dealt with everything, touched what people were afraid to touch and gave it a name.
In another life, I might have been a Talmudist. But I couldn't take all the arguing.
And proofreading is so much quieter. :3
*edit* ..And after writing that I open up my weekly ABA Journal linkspam email (which I still get because it's interesting) and find this:
