I miss martial arts.

For once, though, I'm missing the knowledge -- the skill, the sense, the fluidity -- rather than the lost chance to be part of something (a team, a mission, a clan) that was never really there.

Lots of conflicting feelings there, but it's good to believe that something real came out of those years.

..You know, I was wondering why I've been having so much trouble with this course. Sure, the teacher is full of opinions that seem to matter more than the substantive material. Sure, constitutional law is the legal equivalent of Shakespeare scholarship, with all the textual obscurity and cultural baggage. But you know what?
6.In practical terms, this means that Congress may be expanding the set of rights statutorily the basis of which is the first section of these constitutional provisions by prohibiting behavior it interprets as corrosive of the promise of the Civil War Amendments without specific Court guidance.
FAAAAIL. I love that the professor took the time to post the touchpoints out for us, but why couldn't they consist of, I don't know, twice the clarity and half the fluff? Thus, Congress may statutorily expand these sets of Section 1 rights by prohibiting behavior which, without specific Court guidance, might corrode the intent of the Civil War Amendments.
Geez. The studying is bad enough; my grammar brain doesn't need to be hurting too. */ungrateful brat who just wants the semester to be over*
