another post..... -gasp-
i'm feeling a lot better today...... i think finally my hard work is paying off.... i just wish it hadn't taken so long.
i filled out an application at a department store yesterday afternoon.... not even 24 hours later they called me for an interview..... i took a "personality" test which really was a "will you steal from us" test.... and then (drum roll please) my very first oral swab for a drug test. i have this feeling that they wouldn't bother going through the drug test if they weren't willing to hire me. i mean, why pay to mail it, analyze it and get the results if i'm not even in the running for the job, right??
the interview went really well.... i walked in and almost immediately had the manager laughing.... my sparkling personality didn't fail me today! -modest cough- my previous retail experience helped me grease the wheels even more. after the aforementioned "test" and swab, the manager said these exact words: you really impressed me.............. -stunned- !!!!!!!ohmygod!!!!!!! if that doesn't get me the job, i don't know what will
after the good interview, my baby and i went to Steak 'n Shake to celebrate.... not too fancy, but the real celebration will come with the first paycheck.... ah...
