Summary: Dong Woo drags Woo Hyun off to the zoo.
"Wah!" Dong Woo said happily as he watched the tigers play in the pit. He hung on the railing with a giant smile on his face, to anyone who happened to look at him as they passed he would look like a giant kid; he couldn't help it. It had been so long since he's been to an actual zoo to see the animals; he couldn't help but to show his happiness.
“Hyung!” He turned around to see Woo Hyun running after him, his breaths coming out short and labored. Dong Woo’s smile grew bigger as he ran over to the younger boy and latched onto his arm, dragging him over to see the tigers.
“Aw, they stopped.” He pouted when they reached the railing and looked down to see that the tigers had moved onto a different activity. “Oh well,” he said happily, “Then let’s go see the pandas!” He dragged Woo Hyun along and the younger boy felt as if he was going to collapse. His legs felt weak and he was breathing heavy. He knew he was in fit enough state to be completely fine with exploring the zoo with a normal person, but Dong Woo was far from normal. The older male was like a giant child with the waves of energy that came out of him anytime he was overly excited.
“Hyung, we need to stop for a bit.”
“Okay,” Dong Woo said happily, “Let‘s go eat something then.” He grabbed Woo Hyun‘s hand and dragged him to the nearest food cart where they were selling tteokbokki* and other food. They bought tteokbokki* and odeng* before moving over to a bench and sitting down. “Hey Woo Hyun yah,” he said as he started eating his odeng* first, “Thanks for coming to the zoo with me, I asked the others to come too but they said they would rather rest then play.” He pouted.
“Well they‘re tired,” Woo Hyun said with a laugh as he started his tteokbokki*, “The schedule has been tough but since we‘re in Japan we can travel around more freely then if we were back home in Korea.”
“True,” Dong Woo said happily, “We wouldn‘t be able to play outside like this back home…that kinda makes coming out him much more worth it.” They continued eating their food in a comfortable silence. Dong Woo looked for shapes in the clouds that slowly drifted across the sky above him while Woo Hyun watched the people as they walked by, he couldn‘t help but to wonder if anyone had noticed who they were but kept their distance so he and Dong Woo could enjoy their day.
“Let‘s go see the pandas,” Woo Hyun said as he threw away his trash, “But after that we‘re going to the gift shop and picking up a souvenir for the others.”
“Did Sung Gyu say something about wanting a souvenir from the zoo?”
“Yeah,” Woo Hyun sighed as they made their way towards the panda exhibit, “He‘s abusing his power as the oldest, he said if I didn‘t come back with anything for him he‘ll kick me out of the room and make me sleep on the couch.”
“Hyung knows when to put his foot down doesn‘t he.” Dong Woo laughed as they stopped in front of the panda habitat.
“Eh,” Woo Hyun frowned as he looked down at the pandas, “Hyung, they‘re not doing anything.”
“Of course they‘re not,” Dong Woo said as he swung his arm around the younger boy‘s shoulder and leaned on him, “It‘s not like they‘re the playful type of animal.”
“That‘s boring.” Woo Hyun leaned on the railing and made no effort to push the older boy off him.
“So,” Dong Woo said with a giant smile, “They‘re cute so they don‘t have to be doing fun things all the times.” They stayed at the panda habitat for a little longer before Dong Woo grabbed Woo Hyun‘s hand and dragged him around the rest of the zoo. The stayed longer at the habitats of the animals that played together and, much to Dong Woo‘s protest, only stayed for a few minutes at the habitats that had lazy animals in them. The animals that Woo Hyun deemed boring because they didn‘t play.
By the time they covered every part of the zoo and saw all of the animals it was almost time for the zoo to close. Woo Hyun took over the duty to drag the Dong Woo around the zoo. They headed straight to the gift shop, Woo Hyun didn‘t want to feel Sung Gyu‘s wrath if he came home empty handed.
“Woo Hyun yah!” Dong Woo had ran right towards the stuffed animal section once they entered the gift shop while Woo Hyun moved towards the front to pick out something simple. At the sound of his name he turned around and headed towards Dong Woo. He found the other boy with seven stuffed animals in his hands. “Doesn‘t this look like Sung Yeolie?” He held up a rabbit stuffed animal before holding up a cat stuffed animal, “And this looks like Sung Jongie.” He kept picking up plushies and naming off the different members of Infinite, all but two.
“Do I even want to know why there‘s a tree in the mix of stuffed animals?”
“It‘s you,” Dong Woo said happily as he gathered the plushies in his arms and headed towards the register, “The fans call you a tree so you get a tree.”
“And the dinosaur is you?”
“Of course.” He dropped all the plushies on the counter of the register and pulled out his wallet from his back pocket, “What about you, did you get Sung Gyu his souvenir?”
“Can we just say that the stuffed animals are from both of us?”
“You're lucky I‘m nice,” Dong Woo said in a sing song voice as he paid the man on the other side of the counter. He grabbed the four bags from the counter and handed two to Woo Hyun, “It‘s time to head home!~”
