tutorial 06; painted dreams become transparent

This tutorial was requested by fliederschleier! At least I posted them at the same time!! xD

Program: Adobe Photoshop CS2

01. I started out with this base here of Kobato from Kobato.


02. Make a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer at Soft Light 50% with these settings:
Master: 0 -100 0


03. Add this texture
by _iconographer and set it to Overlay 100%.


04. Add this texture
by _iconographer and set it to Soft Light 100%.


05. Make a new Color Fill adjustment layer #aeaeae set it to Multiply 100%.


06. Make a new Color Fill adjustment layer #cae9c4 set it to Soft Light 70%.


07. Make a new Color Fill adjustment layer #8196a7 set it to Overlay 60%.


08. Make a new Selective Color adjustment layer with these settings:
Colors:
-Reds: -38 +36 +83 +17
-Yellows: -56 -34 +34 +19
-Cyans: +100 -29 +74 +42
-Whites: -30 -41 -16 -32
-Neutrals: -24 -9 -16 +14


09. Duplicate the Selective Color layer from step 08, and set it to Lighten 100%.


10. Make a new Color Balance adjustment layer at Normal 60% with these settings:
Midtones: -13 +14 +11
Highlights: +1 +8 -14
Shadows: -13 -14 +10


11. Lastly, make a new Curves adjustment layer to make Kobato brighter. It should look something like this.
