sunggyu jabs woohyun in the side, getting his attention from the sea of female fans. woohyun only turns around after repeated jabbings, his greasy smile sliding off his face in annoyance at sunggyu's pestering.
'is that guy a news reporter or something?' sunggyu asks, resisting the urge to point at the man wearing all black and holding up a camera that could probably take pictures from a mile away.
woohyun shrugs, 'i don't know, but i think i've seen him here for the last few weeks. if you're curious go ask him.'
sunggyu opens his mouth to reply but woohyun has already turned back to the girls who all bat their eyes at him and wave away his apologies. sunggyu wonders which of the lucky ladies would have the honor of woohyun's bed tonight. honor, he laughs, and finishes off his beer, setting it down on the bar and walking through the crowd towards the mysterious camera man.
they had to be up on stage in fifteen minutes and usually sunggyu would already be backstage fretting over last minute preparation but today woohyun told him that a drink would certainly calm his jittery nerves.
and strangely it seems as if woohyun had been right, sunggyu feels as calm as a spring day. even when he steps up to the camera man and says hello, he doesn't feel the usual nerves of speaking to a stranger.
'kim sunggyu, right?' the camera man asks, a small smile appearing on his lips.
'that's right, and you are?' sunggyu replies, crossing his arms, although he doesn't know why he should feel defensive. although the man is ridiculously handsome. woohyun would be jealous of his height and skin tone, sunggyu muses to himself.
'kim myungsoo, i'm actually a really big fan of yours...' myungsoo trails off, his fingers gripping the strap to his camera tightly. it makes sunggyu smile to know the man is as nervous about talking to him, as sunggyu would be usually talking to strangers.
'obviously not my fan if you're asking my name.' sunggyu laughs and points back to the bar, 'a fan of our power vocal, nam woohyun? or of our crazy drummer, lee sungyeol?' sungyeol is backstage, probably setting his cymbols just right. although to sunggyu's ears they sounded the same no matter which angle they were sitting at.
myungsoo shakes his head, 'no, actually, i'm a fan of yours, but i didn't want to freak you out by being... enthusiastic.'
'really? me?' sunggyu asks, genuinely surprised, he didn't usually have fans, let alone male ones, 'why?'
it is dark in the club but sunggyu swears he can see myungoo's cheeks tint with pink, the other looking studiously at the dirty floor as if he could see the answer there.
'well, i like your voice.' myungsoo says finally, looking up into sunggyu's eyes, 'i'll never understand why you're not lead vocal. i understand that you're a great guitarist but playing shouldn't sideline you.'
'that's what i've been trying to tell them for the last two years! but everyone likes the handsome guy with the lungs.' sunggyu claps a hand on myungsoo's shoulder, causing the other man to jump. 'how about a drink after the show?'
