[Sitting in a rec room somewhere with the lights dim, watching Etna on television]

[She seems to be eating something. Something with a bit of crunch. In the dim light, they look kinda like pretzel sticks, or maybe Cheetos. She's got a big bowl of'em. She could totally share ( Read more... )

It's something different, for sure. You know, the media a culture produces says a great deal about them.

Of course this is all from one person.

Aside of the cultural implication, its also just plain hilarious. To think she had the time to record all of this?

I think some of it is live.

Like the cooking program. I wonder how those prinnies she was preparing actually taste.

You would wonder something like that.

What I wonder is how she managed to get the budget for all of this. The special effects alone would cost a fortune!

I'm more curious how she pulled this off.

Yeah, that is a question. But we do know she is exceptionally powerful, so sh could probably just take over everything by sheer force couldn't she?

I more meant the physical capability. I'm a social scientist, so what do I know, but this seems like it would be rather hard to manage, doesn't it? Taking over all the stations...

Of course, I won't say it's impossible.

From a technical perspective it would be incredibly difficult, you're right. I get the feeling that this isn't being done via tech though.

Sufficiently advanced technology, Alex.

Perhaps, but magic does exist and I think it is safe to say that demons probably have access to it. I mean... she didn't seem to fight using particularly advanced technology. At least not according to the logs.

Scientific method says magic is science.

More precisely magic COULD BE science. But we don't know that they practice any magic they have scientifically, so we can't say that's the case. Aside of that, magic being scientific doesn't really mean its technology.

Okay, I'll give you the last point, but if they can produce results reliably, it's not that different than science.

True. In any case, I can't imagine this was easy regardless of the method used.
