ETA to add timing comments - Bought the book at 2:25 pm Central Daylight time July 16 at Wal-Mart, for 15.78 plus tax. Total was 17.04, I began reading pretty soon after getting in the truck, and finished between 6:30 and 6:40. So, likely the reading time was around 4 hours and ten minutes.

Well, you see how long it took me to be able to make this post. I mean, it took me about six hours to be able to.
Of course, reading this helped a lot. It was refreshing to see the first true post-HBP fic on my flist and the fic make complete, utter sense, y'know?
By the way, we have a room specifically for HBP spoilers on the chat server if you need somewhere to talk. Server's irc.portkey.org now, and the chat is a lot more calm than the forums have been being.

And yeah, I did notice it took you a while to get this post out. You have the advantage of three hours on me, of course ;)
I might just pop into that chat, actually, though I probably won't stay long if I do. I have to go look at a car tomorrow morning (bleh).
And I do think I'll have to start cranking out the fanfic again... I'm a little discourage about Swords, though, since I started it even before Book 5, and here we are at Book 6... I suppose it helps that it's a crossover, but I still feel a little listless about finishing it, with all that's happened. Meh.

Damn straight.
Great book, though, despite the shipping issues. They really were minor.

Hermione has some serious Harry-worship going on.

Yes, I would have liked to have seen more of my favorite Head of House. Although we should probably start calling her Headmistress now, shouldn't we?

Oh, good, you noticed it too! For some reason I thought I was the only one who had noticed that...Glad I'm not, though.

My Nevilley poo! The dear barely was a blip on the radar this book. I was expecting great things, after the prophecy incident. Oh wellz. HBP was a TRILLION times better the OotP.
Voldie's dysfucntional past was my favorite part. Horcruxes. Inferi. Inbred families, oh my!
