Poll Wisdom Teeth

Please tell me more about your recovery... any details are helpful. I'm trying to figure out when I should tell my boss I'll be back at work. I'm getting mine out on a Friday, In Maine. When will I be feeling like driving to Boston/going to work?

I've told you about mine before. It sucked ass. I was out of work for a week and a half. But I was also very bruised and in a lot of pain. Definitely had a strong reaction to my pain medication.
Everybody reacts differently to it. My boss had scheduled me two days after my surgery. I couldn't open my mouth at that time and I went home. Yeah, it was tough for me, but it could and probably will be completely different for you.

Why were you so bruised? Was there any complication, or was it just normal bruising?

Also, were yours impacted, or were they above the gumline?

lessee... i've had 2 out, the bottom 2. My dentist didn't believe in digging for my teeth so we waited until they impacted. I had one pulled over christmas break during college. A year later, when the next one impacted, same deal. I still have my upper 2 wisdom teeth (they show up on xray) but i am content to let them stay there if they aren't coming down.

i didn't get knocked out, just novocained. that sucked; they gave me like 20,000 shots into those tiny veins in yer mouth. ick ick ick. for a day or so i had cotton over the hole where the tooth was.

if you're getting all out at once, i'd recommend taking like a week off. also, be somewhere comfortable with lots of reading material as you recover.
