I am not so sure this is what you are looking for. I haven't earased the background, but I have played around with blocks of images experimenting with that style. Nevertheless, I hope you will like it.

I love the blocks :D Mainly I just didn't want the subject really tiny with a huge(comparatively) solid/texture background.
