I actually don't have time for this today, but I can't resist the Haruma draw. His fire and magic just turns me into a squishy little moth to a flame.
Seriously, last night, he did it again. He brought his A-game despite the fact that Hiroki (Nari-kun) had the best lines, he best shots and pretty much the best everything EXCEPT he isn't Haruma, so

I have to agree that he seems to be at his best in this drama. I never seen such a young actor with that kind of talent that just grabs my attention (with the exception of river phoenix. that man was brilliant). I really am turning into an extreme fan and looking forward to his future works. with his talent and looks, i have a feeling he'd be very well suited for hollywood films in the futureI'm completely agree with everything you've said. There was always a time in which I wondered if X-movie would have been much better if River Phoenix had been in it. I wish life had treated him kinder ( ... )

The Hollywood system tries to eat the truly talented alive and poor River didn't have the support system he needed to remain with us. Haruma, on the other hand, clearly has a stable set of parents and friends. This is always on display when Takeru and Haruma are together. Takeru is extremely protective of Haruma and perhaps if River had been as fortunate, he would still be here.
critics would love him.
I have no doubt about this. His instinct for roles is quite remarkable. On the surface, there have been roles that might have suited him, yet in hindsight many of those would have been too simplistic. Haruma seems to go for the characters that force him to dig deeper and deeper. In a sense, he undertakes them because they're hard, not because they're easy.
if he is ever on the red carpet, i would just DIE! XD
Not me. I'd be on that red carpet screaming ( ... )

Sadly, this seems to be a part of human nature. People seem to need to build people up and then tear them down. Fans can be the worst. The lunatics among them think just because they're a fan of someone, they have a moral duty to tear that person to shreds. I haven't seen Lohan's work since she was a child, however, the media's obsession with trying to showcase every bad moment in her life really irks me.
As far as I'm concerned, Haruma is fabulous and damned near perfect in every way. This is why I don't let myself get involved in negatives or try to be constructive in my critique of his work. Rose-colored glasses work just fine for me. :D
No, it's real bad, I have shown all my friend pics of him and talk about his movies and dramas and somehow include him in daily conversation I've definitely infected my friends. They aren't watching him as closely as I do, but it's to the point where *they* bring him up, not me. While they acknowledge his beauty, they're paying attention ( ... )
