well, the best news of today is that

looks pretty sweet.. u can tell they were trying to appeal to fans of the first trilogy.
got a few home insurance quotes, the cheapest is All-State although it may be that their coverage isn't as good as Nationwide, but they are a lot cheaper.
mortgage stuff is moving along, although i forgot to find verizon and time warner bills to give to sheila. i just hope ditech isn't going to try to take the $500 earnest money.. even though they said they wouldn't if i could give them a good reason.. which would be that it's taken them way too long, and i was passed through too many people and had some crappy service... hopefully that will be a good enough reason.
getting used to the sound of tiff dry-heaving, although it's still not very pleasant.. she had a good run (3 whole days without puking), hopefully as time goes on there will be more time between puke days until they stop altogether.

watched "van helsing" last night.. some very cheesy hollywood moments and slightly bad acting, but some cool special effects. i give it a B-. they need to get someone really scary to play dracula, like trent reznor or marylin manson or something. i wasn't happy at all with the guy who played him, i think we need to shed the whole Bello Lugosi image of dracula, and go back to the more historic image of Vlad The Impaler. that's who they should make a movie about, the historic account of Vlad and how he has turned into the myth of Dracula.
trying really hard not to think about the fact that i'll have to look at that idiot monkey douche-bag face for another 4 years.
