I haven't been updating much lately since I'm really only checking LJ 2-3x a month at most. Given how busy I've been I don't see that changing. Currently busy at two radio stations instead of one, taking classes and helping out at a club.
I will be starting a MySpace however that has to do with the radio and music stuff I'm doing and if you're interested in that, let me know.
Missed Ozzfest due to a mix of poverty and industry problems but did get to see Tarantula Hawk and Asunder in the Mission on Saturday. Tarantula Hawk is one of the most promising bands out there at the moment. They mix prog with space rock and metal into a deliciously drony stew occaisionally reminiscent of Neurosis. No vocals - just instrumental goodness.
Asunder I heard from reviewing their first split with Like Flies on Flesh on Oakland's Life is Abuse label. Good, slow dirgey near-doom metal. They seem to have improved in leaps and bounds since then and some of the stuff I heard sounded like Motorhead in slo-mo. Very tasty. They'll be at the Three Days event in September I'm looking forward to.
If people like I'll post some music reviews up here since it's mostly a copy and paste operation.
