What the hell is up with everyone now using tyrants for icons...

All of a sudden I'm seeing my boy Hitler everywhere. I guess it's a good thing I've moved on from mine - but jeez. Oh and feel free to go over to lj_biz and point out to brad what side of the slippery slope he's on. If you prefer stupidity on live journal - just do nothing.

You have got one of the funniest icons I've seen in a long time.

Great icon. I don't see that one person not making a comment will make a difference...particularly as brad doesn't seem to want to listen to alternative points of view. It seems that he only responds to sheer numbers of posts - as if the vocal minority were the majority opinion (sound like any groups you know?). That's why I think it's important that those of us on the other side of the issue spam him. Time to get on the offensive is my take. Then again, people in my union (at work) don't want to either.

I think (at least) one of us is misunderstanding the other infinite_chaos March 17 2004, 20:12:02 UTC
brad has in fact started to cater to those that are crying about the serial adders etc. "Oh I don't want to see such and such on my friends of list etc. blahblah". He really hasn't told them to go packing. Indeed if you've read his latest posts he's implementing a system to globally ban those that are banned most often by individuals.

There's a number of flaws both to the logic and implementation involved there. That said he clearly _does_ do something when sheer numbers of people make comments. I don't see that being a "troll" is any less valid than any other form of journalistic expression.I just think there needs to be a different model that specifically allows that behavior in its zone.
