NCIS FanDumb
Another freeflowing rant from the empty mind within.
What is it with the NCIS FanDumb? I haven't seen this level of stupid since the earlier days of Stargateville. [To be fair, I've never been involved with things like, say, Hairy Potter, which I've been told take FanDumb to amazing lows.]
I swear on anything holy that the top of my head will break off and spin into outer space if I read one more NCIS fic where Fornell calls Tony, "DiNutso." I cannot tell if this has become some sort of Fanon Requirement or if people really are this dense.
Every once in a while, if I actually like the fic, I point out that Fornell is not saying that, he is calling Tony, "DiNozzo" and using an Italian pronunciation. The writer always says something like, "Oh, I never would have thought of that!"
REALLY?? Here's a hint, little chickadees: How do you pronounce the word "pizza".
Yeah, that's what I thought.
This FanDumb is also the worst with the cutsey one word nicknames for couples. Some of the SGA people do it (McShep being the worst, of course), but I keep thinking of SG1 writers going up in arms over people trying to call couples things like "Sack" and "Janiel". [If you know of people who actually do this, please don't tell me. I'd like to keep dinner down.]
