Sometimes a shower is just a shower.
But the special ones remove more than just a day's sweat and grime - sometimes you emerge from that shower having washed away every glob of anger, every morsel of bad energy that got sprayed on you throughout the day, coating you like a film of pure evil. That shower dissolves self-consciousness, leaving only solid self-awareness. It displaces the oily coating we naturally secrete so that we may easily slither and slide among the petty, the cruel and the thoughtless.
All over my body my skin feels like it can breathe again, as I have exfoliated all the nagging flakes of self-doubt and purged the black, rancid malice clogging my pores. Gone is the stench of cynicism -- I smell all fresh and soapy.
It's true - look out world, I just had THAT kind of shower.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go moisturize.
