SCA name votes.

Okay all, here's the deal: as you all know, I've been mildly active in the SCA for a while now. I've managed to go several years without really completing a full name.

My persona is Russian (yay fun garb and awsome hats!), so I get a Christian name, an old Russian name, and a patrynomic.

I have the first two parts taken care of: Olga Bazhena (with the one I'm actually called being the one people have difficulty pronouncing. I alwasy say I'll need to get something that's easier to remember, but I have yet to do so and decided I rather like it regardless.)

It's the patronymic I'm having trouble with.
I was intitually going to go with some sort of animal surname, because I was thinking I want the persona to be the daugter of a fur trader (a reasonable profession, being from Novgorod.) Sarah pointed out that this was slightly silly, since a simple patronymic would be more commone. Fair point, but they're still fun.

I figure I will go with the construction which basically [christian name] [given name] [father's first name] [word signyfying daughter] [father's surname/byname]. Because I have to admit the idea of torturing court heralds makes me smirk a little.

So Olga Bazhena [name] doch [surname]

For Father's first name, I still have no idea.
The currenty short list is:
Tvorimir
Stanimir
Mstislav
Radetekh

For his surname equivalent:
Skorniakov - Furrier
Biriukov - Wolf (Which would be a nice tribute to Ealdormere, regardless of which kingdom I ever reside in)
Ezhov - Hedgehog (Because, yeah)
Vydrin - Otter
Belkin - squirrel

For these options, I would need to add either 'vicha' or 'ova' to the end of either/both bits of the patronymic. I could also just use the father's christian name or given name, and drop the surname bit alltogether.

I also have an option of making life wasy and scrapping all of this and just using what I would when I'm playing with the Vikings: Bazhena inn Gerzsk (Bazhenna the Russian).

Thoughts? Reccomendations?
