Email fail.
I love my programme, and the King's Manor people (don't have anything against the main campus folks, just don't know them as I never spend any time there).
My university's email system on the other hand....
They tend to send things out the day before something happens at the earliest, or more likely the day of (usually not first thing in the morning either, but at the time when if they're making an announcement about something happening that day, if people don't check their email several times a day, they'll miss it)
Today I got an email forwarded to us fron the Feminist and Womens's Studies Association of the UK and Ireland, telling us about a call for papers for an essay contest. My thought was 'Hmm, I wonder when this is due... I have a few papers on women's history which could be spruced up a bit for this!'
Turns out the final date for submission was the first of November.
*crickets*
