(no subject)
I was hoping I'd have a saved draft here... but alas. Not true. I haven't started a good post quite yet...
I know I said I was going to post roughly a week ago, but that didn't happen I've been chasing around getting things taken care of, doing homework, playing Civilization IV, etc. I never got around to it.
Last weekend was when I truly found my tight group of people that I hang out with. There's a large number of people in our so-called group, but WE are the fucking shit. The other people are Alex, Tymi, and Meaghan. I brought Tymi to lunch one day and got her initiated. Initiation involves giving Jess and Alex your number so that you get texts as to where we're going to get food. So basically since then Tymi and Alex have become like... best friends. I can't really say they are close to dating because Tymi has a boyfriend who is going to school in Ohio. Who knows how long that will go on for? College changes people and her phone conversations always end up in a bit of a fight. Part of me wants the two of them to get together cause it would be so goddamned adorable, but I'm friends with her boyfriend and everything so... I dunno.
Anyway, Meaghan's roommate, Hannah, went away from Friday night to Monday afternoon. Sooo.... slumber parties in Meaghan's room three nights in a row! Meaghan was pretty serious about her inability to sleep with other people. Well... we figured out how to actually get her to sleep on the first night. From there, we all slept well except for the one restless leg syndrome she had at 3:00AM... we got that all sorted out in about 30 minutes and slept like rocks.
So, the four of us basically hung out the entire weekend. We went to Wal-Mart on Saturday. Eric Kaiser (fucking creeper none of us like) texted and called Alex countless times asking when he was going to Wal-Mart.... Alex ignores him and we get on the bus there. A little bit later, at a different stop, fucking Kaiser hops on. He REALLY needed to go to Wal-Mart apparently and was well prepared to go alone. He clearly got a birthday card for this girl that he used to be with, but is still head-over-heels for even though she's a whore and cheated on him with a black guy named Fred. No joke. This girl seriously offered to make "sexy time" to Alex when he made a joking text to everyone saying "meet here for sexy time... I mean food" or whatever.
While at Wal-Mart, we repeated tried avoiding Kaiser and gave him the nickname of 10-4 to indicate that he's in sight and is approaching. We spent the entire time just... avoiding communication with him at all possible. Get the hint, already.
Friday night Todd, a big guy who says hi to the girls at the table (especially Tymi ) and no one else - we don't really like him, either, was asking Tymi and Alex what was going on Friday night. He called Tymi, she texted back, lied and said that her roommate is upset and that she is watching a movie so she can't really talk. He asks where her room is.
Excuse me?
I usually take over for Tymi to get rid of creepers, but I didn't think of this until later. I should have texted back "Are you inviting yourself to my room? that's a little rude". Gah.
Friday night we watched Hot Fuzz, Transformers, and bits and pieces of Across the Universe. It was around 1:00AM when we put Across the Universe. I fell asleep for the middle of the movie. When I woke up, Meaghan was out and I couldn't fall asleep until the movie was over (I wasn't sure if Alex and Tymi were watching. I was on the bed with Meaghan and they were below the bed) and I turned off the TV.
Saturday was our Wal-Mart adventure. I got some food, a scarf, and some other little things. I really can't remember what else we did on Saturday... D: Oh well.
Sunday night, Jess had people in her room to watch a movie. So... we get the idea to get all dressed up fancy-like and go like that. So Meaghan and I went as "dates" and Alex and Tymi went as "dates" xD. We got some pictures. We got there and they were watching Monsters Inc. We finished the movie and everyone took off. We went back to Meaghan's room and took a ton of ridiculous pictures with the timer on her camera.
So, Purdue has been looking especially beautiful this week. Last week was cloudy and all cold and shit so it was just kinda... meh. But this week, around noon, on sunny days, the sun hit the campus in a particularly fantastic way. I really wish I had a camera. Wednesday, I was walking to campus around 8:00AM. At that very point, the sun was up just enough where the sky was red. It looked fantastic. I love this campus.
