Is that the same Covenant that was mostly made of Dimmu Borgir members and also called themselves 'The Kovenant'? Did Nexus Polaris a while back? Or is this another band by the same name?
The reason The kovenant became such, was because covenant already existed and one suspects were more popular/successful. They are a Swedish (i think??) EBM/industrial outfit.
The kovenant i think last released something about 2 or 3 years ago? Whenever SETI came out? Although, i think "flaming pile of shyte" would have been a far more appropriate album title :D
I remember the name change and switch to playing a mix of Rammstein and feces over some sort of electronica group. But which one is being discussed here? The only band I recognized from that long lineup was Laibach. I enjoyed Laibach a lot at least.
the one i mentioned initially is the swedish ebm/industrial act. and yeah, the Rammstein+faeces is about right for describing The Kovenant musically. Thje electronica group they had to change their name because of is the one that jsut releaased SkyShaper.
Skyshaper just haven't done it for me at all.. Sad :(
