Here's a collection of four Australian anti-drug ads. The last two are fairly old, because I remember seeing them on the TV.
The only real problem Australia suffers from drugs is thier price, they are roughly three times more expensive in real terms than say, in europe.
This means that drug use is a financially crippling excercise for a large percentage of Australians. This not only means that they are likely to borrow or steal money from thier friends, there is a high popability of descending into a system of starvation economy, where you live hand to mouth, working by the hour to get money for more drugs.
You get alot of these kind of ads in australia, like, the grim reaper ads and the memorable 'sounds of a car crash victim screaming in pain over the sound of a child singing silent night" man, that one gave me the horrors..
Watching these made me realise how uniquely australian they are and has provoked me to write a long rambling article, sentions of which i'll post..
